We’re Still Adding General Home Services Pros in Wales.

These are jobs that do not fit a single trade, such as small repairs, assembling items, hanging shelves or a to-do list. The businesses differ, so ask whether the one you contact does your jobs. Send a list and photos to get a clear answer.

Gas, electrical panels, structural changes and major plumbing generally call for a trade pro. Ask a general pro whether the job is within what they do and whether a licence or permit applies in your state.

Many businesses are happy to, and it can reduce repeat call-out charges. Ask whether they price per job, per hour, or per visit, and how they handle the job running longer than expected.

Have a written list in priority order, photos, measurements where relevant, and the access details. Say which materials you will provide and which you want the pro to buy.

Ask for the price or the way it is calculated, a minimum charge, what is included, and the warranty on the work. We do not check insurance, so ask for proof of insurance. Ask whether any licence applies in your state for the work you want.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
