We’re Still Adding Piercing Studio Pros in Mad River.

Ask how equipment is sterilised, which items are single use, what the piercer wears, and what the studio does with sharps. Look at how clean the space is. A good studio is open about its process.

It depends on the state, and sometimes the city or county. Ask which licence or permit the studio holds and check it with the state or local board. On Pros Around, "Licence verified" means we matched the licence number to the board's record on the date shown. We do not check insurance.

Age rules differ by state and by studio. Ask the studio what ID it needs, whether a parent must come, and which piercings it will not do for minors.

Ask what material the jewellery is made of, who chooses it, and what the aftercare steps are. Ask for them in writing. Pros Around cannot give health advice, so for a problem after a piercing, see a doctor.

Some take walk-ins and some need a booking. Ask the studio, and ask what the consultation covers.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
