We’re Still Adding General Handyman Pros in Glasgow.

Handymen usually take small, mixed jobs such as minor repairs, mounting, assembly, patching and fixtures. Ask the handyman to list what they will and will not do, and whether your job is within their scope.

For larger work on plumbing, electrical, gas or structure, many states require a licensed contractor. Ask the handyman whether any licence or permit applies in your state and for your job.

It differs between businesses. Ask whether you will be quoted per job or per hour, what counts as the start and end of time on site, and whether materials and trip fees are extra.

Often yes, and many handymen prefer it. Send the list and photos in advance, and ask which items they can do in one visit and which need a return trip or a different pro.

Ask for a written scope, who buys the materials, how long the work is warranted, and for proof of insurance. Ask what happens if they find a bigger problem behind the wall or under the floor.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
