Furniture Store in Geneva, IL

Ask what the piece is made of, what the dimensions are, whether it comes assembled, and what the delivery and set-up cover. Ask for the full total in writing, including any delivery charge.

Return rules differ by store and by item. Custom and special-order pieces are often treated differently. Ask the store about returns, restocking charges and who pays for pick-up before you buy.

Measure the room, the doorways, hallways and stairs the piece must pass through, and compare with the dimensions the store gives you. Ask the store to confirm the measurements in writing.

Ready-made pieces are in stock or built to a standard design. Made-to-order pieces are built or finished for you, which can mean choices of size or material. Ask the store how long waiting takes and what happens if it is late.

Look over each item before the crew leaves and note any damage or missing parts on the delivery paper. Ask the store beforehand who handles claims and how fast you must report a problem.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.
