We’re Still Adding Appliance Repair Pros in Floyds Knobs.

Ask the technician what failed, the cost of the repair and the likely cost of a replacement, in writing. The age and condition of the appliance matter, so ask for their honest view and compare.

The brand, model number, a description of the fault, any error code and when it started. The model number is usually on a label inside the door or on the back. Photos help.

Some do. Ask the price before they come and whether it is taken off the repair if you go ahead.

Ask. Find out whether parts and labour are covered, for how long, and what you need to do to claim. Also check whether the appliance is still under the maker's warranty before you pay anyone.

Some can, but gas work has extra safety rules. If you smell gas, leave the home and call the gas company or the emergency number. Ask the company whether their technicians work on gas appliances and what licence applies in your state.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
