We’re Still Adding Driving Instructor Pros in Chestnut Hill.

It depends on the state, and sometimes the city. Many states license or approve instructors or driving schools. Ask for the number and check it with the state agency. On Pros Around, "Licence verified" means we matched the number to the licensing board's record on the date shown.

No. An instructor teaches you to drive. The state decides whether you earn a driver's licence, and its steps, tests and ages differ. Ask your state's licensing office what it requires.

It depends on the instructor. Some use their own car with extra controls and others teach in yours. Ask which applies, what that means for insurance, and what the car must have for a test. Pros Around does not check insurance.

Bring your learner's permit or licence if you have one, glasses or contacts if you need them, and comfortable shoes. Ask the instructor what else they need beforehand.

Ask how a lesson is planned, how they teach nervous drivers, what happens if you cancel, and whether they can help with the test day. Ask what they do beyond the lesson, as it differs by instructor.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
