We’re Still Adding Home Inspector Pros in Tuscarora.

It is a visual look at the main parts of a home, such as the roof, structure, plumbing, electrical and heating. Ask the inspector for a sample report and what is outside their scope, since scope differs between inspectors and states.

It is a good idea to. You can see what the inspector sees and ask questions on the spot. Ask the inspector whether you can attend and how they share findings afterwards.

It depends on the state, and sometimes the city. Where a licence is required, ask for the number and check it with the licensing board before work starts. On Pros Around, "Licence verified" means we matched the licence number to the board's record on the date shown. We do not check insurance, so ask for proof of it.

No. An inspection looks at the condition of the home. An appraisal estimates its value for a lender. Ask the inspector what the report will and will not tell you.

Ask the inspector to explain which items are urgent, and ask a specialist such as a roofer or electrician to quote any repair. Your agent or a lawyer can advise on what to do next in a sale.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
