We’re Still Adding Hair Salon Pros in Wells.

Bring photos of the style you want and, if you can, photos you do not want. Tell the stylist about past colour, relaxers or other treatments on your hair. A good stylist will talk through what is realistic before starting.

Look at the photos of recent work on each listing, read the reviews, and ask whether the stylist has experience with your hair type and the service you want. A short consultation before booking is a good test.

It depends on the state, and sometimes the city. Ask to see the licence and check the number with the state licensing board. On Pros Around, "Licence verified" means we matched the licence number to the board's record on the date shown. We do not check insurance, so ask for proof of it if it matters to you.

A cut changes length and shape. A colour service changes the colour of the hair and often involves products that must be applied and rinsed carefully. A treatment is any extra service on top. Ask the salon exactly what is included in each one you book.

Tell them about previous colour, any product reactions you have had, and any allergies. Ask whether they do a patch test and what products they use. Tell them about any sensitivity before they start.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
