Ask the shop to find the source before quoting. A leak can come from a worn seal, a blocked drain channel or a loose part. Ask them what they found and how they plan to fix it.

It could be the motor, the track, a switch, or something stuck in the mechanism. Tell the shop what happens when you press the button, such as a noise or no response at all.

Many faults are fixed by replacing a part rather than the whole unit, but that depends on the damage and your car. Ask for the options and what each one includes.

Some shops do this work, but not all. Ask whether they do it, what the glass and frame are made of, and what warranty covers leaks after the job.

Ask your shop or your car's manual. Keeping the seal and drain channels clear is usually part of the advice, but the details depend on your vehicle.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
