We’re Still Adding Plumbing Pros in Manhattan.

Call one for anything involving a gas line, a main water line, sewer backups, a water heater, or a leak you cannot find. A running tap washer or a clogged sink trap is usually safe to try yourself. If water will not stop, shut off the main valve first, then call.

The work to be done, parts and labour, whether a permit is needed and who pulls it, and how long the job takes. Ask whether the price changes if the pro finds something else once the wall or floor is open, and get that in writing.

It depends on the state and sometimes the city. Where a licence is required, check the number against the licensing board before work starts. On Pros Around, a "Licence verified" mark means we matched the number to the board's record on the date shown.

A repair fixes the part that failed. A replacement swaps the whole fixture or appliance. Ask the plumber to explain why they recommend one, how old the item is, and what each option costs, so you can compare.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.

The businesses listed are found in public sources and licensing records. They have not joined Pros Around, so this page shows no reviews for them. Each row shows the licence number, class and the date we checked it, where we have it.
