We’re Still Adding Brake Shop Pros in Mercury.

Common signs are squealing or grinding noises, a soft or sinking pedal, the car pulling to one side when you brake, or a warning light. If your brakes feel unsafe, stop driving as soon as it is safe to do so and get the car checked or towed.

Pads press against the rotors to slow the wheel. Both wear. Ask the shop what they measured and whether your rotors can be reused or need replacing.

That varies by shop. Ask what is included, such as inspection of lines, calipers and fluid, and what extra work the shop might suggest.

It can have several causes, so do not guess. Tell the shop what you feel and when, and ask them to find the cause before replacing parts.

Ask what parts and labour are covered, for how long, and whether you must return to the same shop for any claim.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
