We’re Still Adding Outdoor Lighting Pros in Imlay.

Low-voltage systems use a transformer to step the power down and are common for garden and path lights. Line-voltage fixtures run on household power and are often used for floodlights and wall lights. Ask which the installer recommends for each spot.

It depends on the state, and sometimes the city. Where a licence is required, ask for the number and check it with the licensing board before work starts. On Pros Around, "Licence verified" means we matched the licence number to the board's record on the date shown. We do not check insurance, so ask for proof of it. Ask whether a permit is needed.

It depends on what the light is for: safety on steps and paths, security on doors and drives, or looks in the garden. Ask the installer to walk the property with you and mark positions before they install.

The fixtures by name, the transformer and wiring, the controls such as timers or sensors, labour, any trenching, and the warranty. Ask who repairs it if a fixture fails.

Many systems can. Ask what controls the installer offers, how you adjust them, and whether they work with a smart-home setup you already have.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
