We’re Still Adding Painting Pros in Gerlach.

The rooms or surfaces covered, how much prep work is included, such as cleaning, scraping, filling and priming, the brand and type of paint, the number of coats, who moves furniture, and who cleans up.

It depends on the state, and sometimes the city. Where a licence is required, ask for the number and check it with the licensing board before work starts. On Pros Around, "Licence verified" means we matched the licence number to the board's record on the date shown. We do not check insurance, so ask for proof of it.

Ask. Some painters supply the paint, some ask you to buy it. Either way, ask for the brand, finish and colour in writing so the quote and the result match what you chose.

Yes, the surfaces and the weather matter more outside. Ask how the painter handles prep, what they do if rain or cold stops the job, and what warranty they give on the finish.

Yes. Older homes may have lead-based paint, and some work on them has special rules. Tell the painter the age of the home and ask how they handle it. Ask what certifications or procedures apply in your state.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
