We’re Still Adding Nail Salon Pros in Sun Valley.

Ask how tools are cleaned between customers, which items are single use, and how foot baths are cleaned. A good salon will answer without fuss. You can also look at how the station is kept.

It depends on the state, and sometimes the city. Ask to see the licence and check the number with the state licensing board. On Pros Around, "Licence verified" means we matched the licence number to the board's record on the date shown. We do not check insurance, so ask for proof of it if it matters to you.

Some salons take walk-ins and some need an appointment, especially for longer services. Ask the salon, and ask how long a wait usually is.

A manicure is for the hands and a pedicure is for the feet. Salons offer different extras on top, so ask what each service you book includes.

Tell them about past reactions to products and any nail or skin problem. Ask what products are used and how they are removed. For a health problem with your nails or skin, ask a doctor.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
