We’re Still Adding Property Manager Pros in Ely.

A property manager looks after a rental on the owner's behalf. Typical tasks include finding tenants, collecting rent, arranging repairs and keeping records. The exact list differs by company, so ask for the management agreement and read what is included and what is extra.

It depends on the state, and sometimes the city. In many states, managing rentals for others falls under a real estate or property management licence, and some states have no such rule. Ask for the licence number and check it with the licensing board. On Pros Around, 'Licence verified' means we matched the number to the board's record on the date shown.

Ask where rent and security deposits are kept, how often you receive payments and statements, and how the company records them. Rules on deposits are set by the state, so ask the manager how they follow your state's rules.

Read the services covered, how the company is paid, how long the agreement lasts and how either side can end it. Look at who approves repairs and up to what amount, and how tenants are screened. Have a lawyer review the agreement if you have any doubt.

Yes, many owners do. It means you handle tenant questions, repairs, rent collection and local rental rules yourself. Ask a property manager what they take off your hands and compare that with the time you can give.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
