Ask the technician for the age of the system, what failed, the cost of the repair, and the cost of a replacement, in writing. A repair on a system near the end of its life can cost more over time than replacing it, but only the quote and the system's age can tell you.

The make and size (capacity) of any new equipment, what is removed and what is reused, labour, permits, the warranty on parts and on labour, and the start and finish dates.

In many states, yes, and handling refrigerant needs a federal certification. Ask to see the licence number and check it with the state board. On Pros Around, "Licence verified" means we matched the number to the board's record on the date shown. We do not check insurance.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
