We’re Still Adding Transmission Shop Pros in Glendale.

Common signs are slipping gears, delayed or rough shifting, strange noises or a warning light. These can have different causes, so ask the shop to diagnose before agreeing to major work.

A repair fixes one fault. A rebuild takes the unit apart and replaces worn parts. A replacement fits a different unit. Ask the shop which they suggest for your car and why.

It can be worth it, because transmission work can be a large job. Ask each shop for a written diagnosis and quote so you can compare them like for like.

Ask what the warranty covers, for how long, whether it covers parts and labour, and whether it applies if you move away.

Some shops work on both and some do only one. Tell the shop your make, model and year, and ask if they handle your type.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
