We’re Still Adding Public Relations Pros in Whiteface.

Public relations is about managing how the public and the media see your business or organization. It can include writing statements, preparing for interviews, pitching stories and handling difficult situations. Ask each professional what they would do for your case.

No. Journalists and editors decide what to publish, and no one can promise it. A PR professional can prepare your message, build contacts and pitch your story. Be careful with anyone who promises coverage in a named outlet.

Advertising is space or time you pay for, where you control the message. Public relations tries to earn attention through stories, relationships and statements. Ask the PR professional how they separate the two in their work.

Explain what you do, who you want to reach, what news you have, and any sensitive issues. Share these in confidence and ask how they handle confidential information. Ask to see a written agreement before you share anything private.

Ask whether the professional helps with urgent situations such as bad news or a public complaint, and how they reach you outside normal hours. For anything that is a legal matter, talk to a lawyer as well.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
