We’re Still Adding Landscaping Pros in Thomaston.

Lawn care is regular upkeep such as mowing and edging. Landscape design plans the layout of beds, paths, plants and hard surfaces. Many businesses do one or both, so say which you need and ask for them to be quoted separately.

Ask for a written scope that names the plants, materials and areas, who removes the waste, who calls before digging near buried utilities, and whether the work is a one-off or a repeat visit. Ask for proof of insurance.

It depends on the state. Some states license landscape contractors, or require a separate licence for pesticide use or irrigation work. Ask whether any licence or permit applies for the work you want, and ask to see it.

Ask how they choose plants for your local climate, sun and soil, and how much watering the yard will need once it is established. A good answer names specific plants and explains why they suit your yard.

It varies by business. Ask whether the visits include mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, leaf clearing and waste removal, how often they come, and how to pause or end the service.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
