We’re Still Adding Carpenter Pros in Celeste.

Carpenters build and fit wood and similar materials, from framing and doors to shelves, trim and cabinets. Some focus on rough structural work and some on fine finish work, so say which you need.

A carpenter focuses on woodwork and building. A handyman takes a range of small jobs. For structural or custom work, a carpenter may be a better fit. Ask what they have built that is like your job.

It depends on the state, and sometimes the city. Where a licence is required, ask for the number and check it with the licensing board before work starts. On Pros Around, "Licence verified" means we matched the licence number to the board's record on the date shown. We do not check insurance, so ask for proof of it.

The materials and finish, labour, who supplies the wood or hardware, drawings or measurements, a start and finish date, and what happens if the plan changes.

It can be needed for structural changes, decks, additions and some other work, depending on the city or county. Ask the carpenter whether your job needs one and who applies.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.

By the plan a pro has chosen, then a Featured badge, then review quality. A higher plan can place a pro higher; between pros on the same plan, reviews decide. Anything paid for is labelled.
