Business Consultant in Honolulu, HI

A business consultant helps owners with a specific problem or plan, such as growth, operations, finances or strategy. The work can be a short review or a longer project. Ask what exactly they would look at and what you would have at the end.

Ask about experience with businesses like yours in size and type. Ask for examples of projects and for people you can contact. A consultant who asks you detailed questions before proposing anything is often better prepared than one who offers a standard package.

Look for the scope of work, the deliverables, the timeline, how you are billed and how either side can end the arrangement. Ask who owns the reports and materials produced. Get everything in writing.

No one can promise results, because many things outside the consultant's control affect a business. A good consultant explains their approach and what they will do, and does not guarantee outcomes. Be careful with promises of a number.

Expect to share information about your business, such as records, goals and challenges, and to give time for meetings. Ask what they will need, how they protect your information, and who in your team should be involved.

The price depends on the size and difficulty of the job. Some pros publish a starting price on their listing. Ask two or three for a written quote that says what is included, and compare the scope as well as the price.

Only customers who contacted a pro through Pros Around can review them, using a link that works once. Pros can reply but cannot delete a review, and reviews are never sold. An admin hides a review only if it breaks our rules, and the reason is recorded.
